The Power Workers employ full-time industrial health and safety experts at union headquarters, and there are union health and safety representatives at every location where our members are employed.
Under Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act, employees have the right in most circumstances to refuse work which is likely to endanger him or her.
Most of our Collective Agreements also give certified health and safety representatives the right to prevent the start of work or to stop work when a workplace is unsafe.

Port Elgin Labour Day Parade will be held on Monday September 6, 2010. Parade marshalling will start at 10:00 AM at the Home Hardware north of Port Elgin on Hwy. 21 and will depart from the Home Hardware parking lot at 11:00 AM
