FAQ

The Power Workers' Union - Hiring Hall accepts applications for all classifications that are represented in various PWU Collective Agreement Appendices. When PWU employers require additional workers, the PWU refers members in the appropriate classifications. If additional members are required, the successful applicants are contacted by the PWU. Applicants are not accepted into membership by the PWU Hiring Hall until they are contacted by the PWU Hiring Hall and referred to work. All other applications are kept on file for a period of 6 months. Resumes are accepted by applying on-line to the classifications listed below or by sending the information required in the below descriptions by facsimile to (416) 481-7914.

To view the Hiring Hall classifications just click on the Hiring Hall Positions/Classification box and select a classification. A brief description, including the classification requirements, will be displayed with an application template.

Classifications

Only applications for classifications listed below are accepted by the PWU Hiring Hall.

Due to agreements between the Power Workers' Union and the Labourers International Union of North America (LIUNA), all Civil Trades classifications working through the PWU Hiring Hall are members of and referred through the LIUNA.
