   The PWU Community Volunteer Selection Committee is proud to announce that one member within their sector and a retired worker has been chosen for their outstanding citizenship in their community over the past year.

The committee is comprised of:
• Maureen Skopeleanos – Sector 1
• Garril Lampman – Sector 2
• Sandra Bress – Sector 3
• Yvonne Keenan/Bob Taylor – Retired Workers' Chapter
• Marianne Vinton – Staff

   The Committee developed a selection criteria that reviewed each nominee's submission for community involvement, number of hours spent, number of years spent, number of organizations and the number of people affected by their tireless work.

   This year's 4 outstanding PWU Community Volunteers will be presented at the Council of Chief Stewards, by Don MacKinnon, President, a PWU black jacket, a Certificate of Thanks and a cheque for $500.00 made payable to the charity of their choice.

   They have also been invited, with a guest, to attend our 2010 Council Dinner and Dance.

Member Awareness Training will be held on April 16-17, 2012 at the PWU Training Centre, 234 Eglinton Ave. East 3rd floor
- Health and Safety Accreditation-2 will be held on March 28-30, 2012 at the PWU Training Centre, 234 Eglinton Ave. East 3rd floor
