Labour Day 2018 - Registration - Power Workers Union

Toronto Labour Day Parade 2018

Toronto Labour Day Parade 2018

Once again, the Power Workers’ Union (PWU) will be
participating in the Toronto Labour Day Parade on Monday,
September 3, 2018. Last year, approximately 600 PWU
members and their families participated amongst 25,000 proud
Union members. The PWU will be accompanied along the
parade route by the Afropan steelpan band.

The Toronto Labour Day Parade is a historic Canadian tradition
where unionized workers celebrate their strength and solidarity.
Registered parade participants from the PWU will meet at the West
side of University Avenue, South of Dundas Street West and North
of Armoury Street by 9:00 am. The parade travels South from the
assembly point making its way West on Queen Street and arriving at the
Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) at approximately 11:00 am.

The first 400 PWU members and their immediate families who
register for the parade will receive a specially designed Canadian
made PWU Labour Day t-shirt and hat and lunch money. All
participants receive free admission into the Canadian National
Exhibition (CNE) once the parade is over. There, you and the
family can take in all of the attractions of the CNE including the
68th annual Canadian International Air Show.
