Job Overview:

Machinists fabricate and repair components for equipment and tools by laying out, cutting, shaping, fitting and joining. Understands and is able to operate machine tools such as lathes, milling and grinding machines, planers, shapers, drill presses and specialized machines. Understands and uses precision measuring instruments and hand tool associated with his/her duties. Must provide, at own expense, any tools listed for this trade if required in his/her regular work in accordance with the attached tool list. Understands the working properties of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and non-metallic materials.

The Machinist base hourly rate is approximately $57.00 per hour. In addition to the hourly wage, there is 10% Vacation and Statutory Holiday Pay, Extended Health Benefits Plan and a self-directed RRSP Retirement Fund.

To meet the challenges of this dynamic opportunity, you must have:

• Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent).
• Certificate of Qualification Machinist.
• Industrial experience.
