Job Overview:

Material Analysts participate in the maintenance of the Nuclear Materials Master Catalogue and Catalogue Templates as well in the establishment of standard terminology for equipment and materials. Responsible for materials inventories of assigned categories utilizing the Materials Management Module of the computerized system governing the processes of an operating nuclear facility. Ensure equipment and materials availability meets the end user requirements. Optimize inventory levels to reduce the total life cycle costs of equipment and materials. Support materials requirements planning activities, schedules and outage work. Carry out liaison with outage teams and Integrated Planning Group (IPG), coordinating their requirements within the Materials Management organization. Ensure integrity of inventories and reconcile discrepancies wherever necessary.

The Material Analyst base hourly rate is approximately $55.00 per hour. In addition to the hourly wage, there is 10% Vacation and Statutory Holiday Pay, Extended Health Benefits Plan and a self-directed RRSP Retirement Fund.

To meet the challenges of this dynamic opportunity, you must have:

  • Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Two-year college diploma in Business Purchasing (or equivalent).
  • Four years’ experience in Purchasing/Inventory role.
  • PMAC, APICS or SCMP would be an asset.
