NOTE: You must register before you can submit a claim and you MUST notify the Call Centre (1-877-393-0338) as soon as you think you may have a claim to report the situation and arrange for coverage. Do NOT pay your lawyer and then seek reimbursement from the Plan, call the Plan and arrange for the Plan to pay your lawyer.

How to submit a claim or a potential claim situation

A claims representative will contact you within 1 business day of your Incident Report.

Legal expense coverage or Title Insurance claim

If you have had an incident or loss, or if you suspect that you will need to submit a claim under one of the coverages of the PWUPP:

  • Call us at 1-877-393-0338 or 905-287-3481 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday.

OR

  • Complete an Incident Report Form and
    • Fax it to 905-287-2403 or 1-800-705-0006, or
    • Scan and email to [email protected], or
    • Mail it to:

    • Rest assured that the Call Centre is secure, private and confidential.
  • The Power Workers’ Union Protection Plan works closely with Purves Redmond Limited, the PWUPP Members’ Representative
    • Purves Redmond Limited is there to provide help, assistance and support to the PWU and its members with respect to the Power Workers’ Union Protection Plan.
    • Purves Redmond Limited also has a strong claims team to support you if there is a problem or issue with a claim.
    • If necessary, the Power Workers’ Union Protection Plan Call Centre will get in touch with Purves Redmond Limited on your behalf.
